Is that it? It needed more to it.

A guy waved a surrender flag, got shot at, then stuck his middle finger up at the guy who shot him and it was all over, the idea was a good one, it was just too short and not much really happened, you should have progressed on from that and shown some either what happened after or had some more funny situations within the movie. You also should have had some music playing.

[Your Insanity(re-release)]

Why'd you submit this twice?

You said you'd made changes from the original, but you hadn't, it was exactly the same as the first one there was nothing different about it at all.

As this is the same submission as Your Insanity, here's my review for that.

From the start it was just completely random and it worked really well, I enjoyed watching it, it was a good movie. The whole thing just looked like you were making it up as you went along as each thing that happened next was just completely unrelated to what happened before. There were a few things I didn't like though, these were the frog, which was an ongoing joke throughout the movie, I just found it really annoying and I didn't like it at all, I also didn't like the part with the old lady as it was just completely irrelevant to the movie, despite how random it was. The only other problem was the sound, thevoices were of a poor quality and were also very quiet, and the sound effects were mostly just really annoying and horrible sounding. The movie could also have done with perhaps being a bit longer and continuing on as I was really enjoying what it was that I was seeing, and I was dissapointed to see it end where it ended at, I did like the whole idea of it all being filmed though, it just added to how good it was. Anyway, well done, good job, keep up the good work.

Please don't submit the exact same submission twice, there's no point in doing so whatsoever.

I respect your policy on voting 0's for resubmits, and I appreciate your criticism's as they are entirely constructive. Thanks for that.

Here's a little background on why I resubmitted the flash: First let me say that this was back in the days of newgrounds when (at least as I was aware) you couldn't "edit" your submissions or upload a new version of the swf. What you had first put up was there until the end of time unless you talked to Wade or someone else from the NG crew.

That said: The original swf had been made and submitted using, I think, flash 4. On top of that, it was my first EVER attempt at real flash work. So there were some major issues in the animation and sound sync of the original. At that time I hadn't discovered the Audio Stream property and was using everything as an Event. Then Flash 5 came out just a few months later and the improved processing of the new engine really accentuated the little flubs in the work.

All this added up to the original submission only playing correctly on 'average' computer systems. If your system was just one or two hundred megahertz slower or faster than mine, then a lot of things came out of sync from how I had intended them.

So I re-encoded and touched up the things that really bothered me about the film and re-posted it. (The Audio is still all Events because even then I hadn't found the glory of the Stream.) Later, I contacted Wade and asked him to replace the original 'Your Insanity' swf with the updated one - but leaving both entry submissions up for continuity sake.

So, that's how I ended up with two Your Insanity submissions. Of coarse, now I've got so much viewer feedback and so many reviews on each of the submits that I wouldn't want to dump either one unless it could all be consolidated. And with a PHP system as hefty and cross-referenced as Newgrounds, I doubt any of the crew would be up for volunteering the time to make it happen.

[Titanic Music Vid. HAHA]

It should have had something happening in it.

Nothing happened, all you did was show a guy you drew singing and some pasted images, while a song was playing, if you were going to do a music video to that song you should have had something in it so that there was something to watch, as showing a guy just singing is completely pointless as it doesn't offer any sort of entertainment.

[NUMBSKULLS: Trailer]

Hmm, poor, there wasn't much about it.

It just seemed pretty pointless, it was just really short and nothing really happened in it, it didn't really get across what your movie was going to be about so it was a poorly done trailer. You should have shown some eventful stuff, other than guy's talking and actually shown what it was that your movie was about, the only impression that I got from your movie idea from this is that it was another overdone, boring movie idea. The voices were of a poor quality and some sounded very annoying, that just let the movie down even more.

[Yet Another Day]

Oh is that it? It needed more to it.

It was just dissapointingly short and nothing really happened in it, I kinda liked the end where she threw the letter out the window when that happened I was expecting the movie to suddenly properly start and have eventful, worth watching stuff happening within it, but instead it just ended which was really dissapointing. You really should have continued on from that, showed what happened after she threw the letter out and shown some other eventful stuff as well.

It was a bad choice of song for the movie as it didn't really fit too well with it, sometimes it was borderline acceptable and it wasn't too bad a fit, and other times it was just completely wrong in every way, such as at the very start of the movie, the music for that point needed to be soft and gentle rather than loud, in fact most of the movie was this way, you really should have chosen a song that actually fitted well with the movie.

[People of the Sun Part 3]

Nice twist, it made a good movie.

The movie seemed pretty poor up until the twist, as until then it was just a guy shooting people through doors. I didn't see the twist coming at all and it made the movie pretty good and it was definitely worth watching, I liked the part after it too with the tripod machine gun shooting the guy. The only problem with this was again the lack of sound effects and that it was a bit short and all that really happened was the big shock twist then it was all over, it didn't explain why it happened, and I really want to know why, that was obviously going to be revealed in the next episode, but you never made it, please I beg of you make the next episode, I for one would definitely love to see it. If you're not going to make it and you still use your Newgrounds account could you please respond to this review explaining why the twist took place? As I really want to know, it would be much appreciated. Anyway well done, good job, keep up the good work.

[People of the Sun part 2]

That was great, much better than the first one

That was definitely much better than the first one, this one was actually really good, I loved it, you got the storyline to perfection and it made it a great movie to watch. You ended it fairly nicely and it's got me really looking forward to the next one, I'm sure it's going to be a great episode. The only problem with this movie was the sound, the music was fine, but you needed sound effects in it and perhaps some voices too. Although perhaps you should have had some more music in it as well, as some scenes had no noise in whatsoever and it didn't seem to good, an example of this is the car scene, where there was a very long period of silence. Anyway, well done, great job, keep up the good work.

[People of the Sun]

Hmm, I guess it was alright.

I liked the set-up to this at the very start, it looked like it was going to deliver a very good movie, unfortunately it didn't, what you had was alright though.

The scene in the house with the soldiers shooting wasn't very interesting at all, and it had this pointless violence feeling about it, then when they saw the bomb, you left the house too early, you should have shown the house from the outside and had it explode, to get the full effect across.

The scene of the guy getting shot in the helicopter, was poorly done, you should have shown the bullet going through his head as it looked a bit weird with his head just collapsing and then blood coming out of it.

The scene after was better as it was reverting back to the setting up of the story, and now I'm kinda looking forward to watching the rest of this series.

Overall, while the storyline is very much overdone and you had a couple fo poor scenes it was still an alright movie. you should have found more fiiting music to go with it as well and perhaps had some more sound effects included in it, obviously voices would have been a nice touch too.
