Good game, but far too short.
It was a fun game to play, but it was just far too short, not long after escaping from the prison it was all over, you look at some creature on the roof of a building and it just ends, it should have continued on from there as there just wasn't much in this at all. You should have made it clearer that that was the end, as when I got to that point and chose to examine the creature, I thought I'd just been killed, so I played through again, this time planning to ignore the creature and just continue, but I found out that I couldn't and then I realised that I'd completed it the first time, you should have had a screen come up that informs you that you've just completed the game so that it's clear.
I liked how you could create your own design for the character and there was a wide variety, maybe a nice touch would have been that certain heads and certain bodies give you better stats in one area and worse in another or something, like for example, the bandolir could give you more ammo for your guns whenever you get one, but makes you take more damage from enemy fire, doing things like that would have been a very nice touch that would have given you a good reason to go back and play it again.
The game was fun to play, but it needed to be improved on in certain areas, like when you were using most of the automatic guns, it was too hard to control and you'd only really end up getting one bullet from it to hit the enemy or two if you were lucky, you should ahve made them slightly easier to control so that you'd be more likely to use them, as I just ended up using the standard pistols, as they were much easier to control.
Also with the status in the top right corner that told you how much health and how much ammo you had left, the numbers weren't fully on the screen and you could only see part of them, you should have made the box containing this information bigger, so that it was easy to see how much health and how many bullets you had left.
A problem that happened to me the second time I played it was that the guard who's in the room with you at the start didn't drop the gun, which meant it was impossible to proceed as you needed to use the gun to get out of the cell, perhaps you should look into that problem and update this when you've sorted it out.
The boss was too easy as all you had to do was jump up onto the platform and shoot him from above, and if he ever jumped up you just had to drop off the edge, back down to the ground, his actions were also too slow, he barely ever attacked, you should have increased his attack rate so that the action was more fast paced, meaning that he'd have been much harder to defeat.
I liked it how when you went outside, you finally saw colour, it was a great way to represent his feelings on escaping and finally seeing the outside world again.
Overall, despite a few little problems here and there it was a good game and it was fun to play, however it was just far too short, which really let the game down as there just wasn't enough in it.
Peace Out, Afro Stud
