finally a new skears game

i've been waiting ages for this and its finally happened a new skears game its obviously not as good as skears 2 but its still damn close and for some reason the music goes much better with this game than the last one with music and i never said the music sucked i just said i'd have preferred that one with no music also the reason i said i liked rol-ovir 2 more than skears 2 but gave skears 2 a higher overall score was because in my rol-ovir 2 review i included the graphics in my overall score but decided not to for skears 2 as you don't try to have brilliant graphics in these games p.s. sorry for the long review

I had another listen to the two tunes just now whilst playing through the games, and I do actually agree that the slower music seems to work slightly better. Maybe it's something to do with the more constant beat?

You didn't say that the music sucked, but since you said you'd have preferred the game without it, you couldn't have liked it very much...

fucking best game on Newgrounds this i like, it should be higher than it is and it should definitely be above alien hominid and what the fuck are you meant to do in the 2nd part of the adventure i can't work it out

kicks ass

finally a skears game almost as good as rol-ovir 2 also you're the only clock crew member with decent movies/games, i can't believe you're in clockcrew as clockcrew suck, and you don't in fact you rock. fucking brilliant game but its way too easy, i'm looking forward to a newer version cos that will probably rock, if you do make one could you tell me if possible by the way i hope you make these forever

Thanks a lot for the nice comments. I'll keep making these games for a long time - don't worry.

I'm soon going to start learning Open GL, which will let me use all the ideas I don't know how to do in Flash. When I make that version (which will hopefully be much, mcuh better than the ones I've made in Flash), I'll let you know.

while its an improvement compared to the other skears games it still doesn't compare with rol-ovir 2 which kicks ass the music which you've added in lowers the score i preferred these games without sound and without it i'd have given it higher than a 5 probably a 6 and level 3 is way too easy

I was rather disappointed that you didn't like the music. Whilst I expected that a few would find it annoying, it's still disheartening.

For the 5th game, I'll include some option to turn the sound off.

That way, I'll be pleasing everyone - hopefully including you.

You still need to get the hang of the scoring system so you can access all my bonus levels. The 5th Mini Skears game will by an easy one, so you can maybe learn on that...

i prefer the rol-ovirs

skears is actually kinda lame compared to rol-ovir 2 i'm gonna play 3 then skears 2 i hope they're better also you need more levels on the skears games

The reason why the Mini Skears games don't have that many levels is because they are 'Mini'.

Basically, I ran into problems with Skears 2 and I'll never be able to finish it. Basically, until I learn how do manipulate different scenes, I won't be able to make a Skears 2 like I wanted.

Also, some folk were saying that the game was a bit long - they enjoyed the first few minutes, but then got a bit bored.

I then decided that it'd maybe be a better to make a series of short Skears games. This way, no-one gets bored, and I can make them regularly, get feedback and keep improving them.

If you get the hang of the scoring system, you'll get a couple of bonus levels, but the Mini Skears games will remain the length they are now.

[MS01: Mini Skears]

i prefer the rol-ovirs

again rol-ovir 2 is better but i prefer rol-ovir to this also its too damn hard to get over 1 as the gaps between the purples appearing or the level finishing is too big

At first, I thought it was the lask of levels that made you dislike the Mini Skears games, but considering that you even prefer the original rol-ovir... I really don't know what I need to do...

Getting a high score is rather tricky for some.

You aren't actually supposed to keep the multiplier from one level to the next - you just rack it up for the one level.

However, once you get the hang of the scoring system, you do get access to a couple of bonus levels per game (apart from the first one, which only has 1).

nowhere near as good as rol-ovir 2

compared to rol-ovir 2 this sucks but this is still pretty good

Yeah... rol-ovir 2 is basically this with a few more levels, so in a way, this really should just be deleted.

However, it does have the historical significance of being the start of the whole rol-ovir/Skears thing.

In case you can't tell, it was originally meant to be a shoot 'em up, but then I realised that it was more playable if you just had to touch the targets rather than click on them.

I then had the idea for the red skears and introduced them in rol-ovir 2.

But yeah... glad you like my games.
