The Welder

"Odd and intriguing, that was good, I liked it."

submission: The Welder
date: October 21, 2005

It was just really odd and intriguing right from the very start and it kept it up the whole way through, I liked how you had him in the foundry and you had the flashing behind him, it was a really nice effect and it worked really well. I'm not too sure I understood it, it was really odd and it was difficult to understand, all I got was that he was against the foundry, I'm assuming it was because it damaged the environment or something, but it was fairly difficult to make sense of, it still ended up being really good though and you almost got a 4 from me. Again the music fitted in really well with the song, which is always a nice thing to see. Well done, good job, keep up the good work.

Kill 4 Fun ?

"It wasn't very interesting."

submission: Kill 4 Fun ?
date: October 21, 2005

I think I got the message, you were trying to say that, a load of people make crap, pointless violence movies and they end up getting past jusgement and that killing people just isn't funny at all, at least that's the impression I got. It kinda makes this hard to review as you weren't setting out to make a good kill-a-person game, so perhaps you should have gone about it a different way as this just wasn't at all interesting, you had to watch some guy die in three different ways, none of which were at all interesting. You needed some sound effects in it as well as it would have got the message across more and it would have made it more interesting.

sex-o-matic

"It needed to be eventful."

submission: sex-o-matic
date: October 21, 2005

For what it was it was really good, the music went perfectly with the movie, the only problem with it was that it wasn't exactly eventful, you just showed a guy and a girl robot had them doing some movement every now and then and had some text, it wasn't really visually entertaining. The story behind it was good with the guy robot and the girl robot meeting up with each other but it should have been done in a better way, you should have showed their actions leading up to their meeting and had some events taking place within the movie. I did like how you had the text at the start that was showing their conversation it was nice to see and it made there be a reason to watch the movie back again so that you could focus on everything that was going on. Like I said, it was a good movie it's just that it wasn't exactly eventful, so it wasn't really that interesting.

John Rocker's P.S.A.

"Well that was pointless."

date: October 21, 2005

It was just completely pointless, you just used a pasted image of John Rocker and had a black oval over his mouth and had a sound clip playing to try and make it look like he was saying it. If you were going to make a movie to that sound clip you should ahve drawn everything in it yourself and had something visually interesting taking place on screen so that they'd have been some sort of point to it. The sound clip was also of a fairly poor quality which didn't help matters and it was also too short, as the movie ended not long after it had started.

 GIVE IT AN X

"Short, eventless and completely pointless."

submission: GIVE IT AN X
date: October 21, 2005

All that happened was a pink thing bounced across from one side of the screen to another and the moon changed into the sun, it was just compeltely pointless and eventless, nothing happened at all. You should have made it longer, given it a point and had something happening in it, you also should have added some sound into it, as movies always seem weird without sound, even this. You also got the sun and the moon the wrong way round, you had the moon during the day and the sun during the night, unless of course that was some sort of intentional joke.

Flying Squirrel NG v 1.0

"It needed more to it."

date: October 21, 2005

There just didn't seem to be much to it, you just had to jump around the screen collecting items in order to gain points, it doesn't sound to be bad but the problem was that you just didn't do enough with it, you should have had it as a series of levels and had it so that you either had to reach the end or had to get a certain amount of points in order to get to the next level, as it would have dramatically increased the gameplay and it would have made it much more interesting. As it wasn't too good that it was only 45 seconds of jumping around getting items to try to gain points as it just didn't have much of a gameplay factor and once you'd completed it you wouldn't particularly want to play it again. You should have made it harder too as it was just far too easy to avoid damage and on the occasions when you would it wouldn't really effect you much at all, the fact that you had hearts constantly appearing on the screen as well that would increase your health didn't help matters here as it just made it even easier, to make it harder all you ahd to do was simply have more enemies on the screen at the same time and increase the damage that they do to you. The one part of this that I did like was with the acorns, as I liked how the longer you stayed touching it the more points you'd get, it was a nice idea and it gave you a decision to either stay on it getting more points but making the enemies get a lot closer to you so it's harder to avoid damage or to just get a point or two then leave and making it much easier to avoid the damage. Another way to improve it would have been if you'd made there be a way to kill the enemies as it just would have added more gameplay factor to it and it would have been more fun as there'd be another task you would want to achieve. You also needed to add some music into it as only having the sound effects just wasn't enough.

"trapped"

"Oh, is that it? Nothing happened."

submission: "trapped"
date: October 19, 2005

Nothing happened it was just a 3D image of a submarine and some text, the text appeared to set up a story but then there wasn't any, the submarine hit the bottom, it said that they were trapped and then it ended. For an intro to a movie this would have been nice as the music you used created an atmosphere that drew you into the movie and it would have left you more hooked on the events that happened within the actual movie, but this turned out to be the whole movie, and this by itself as a movie is poor as nothing at all happened which just made it completely pointless. You needed to increase the fps as the animation was ever so slightly jerky, it was only just about noticeable but still.

Monk Monk Attacks!

"It needed a story and it needed to be longer."

submission: Monk Monk Attacks!
date: October 19, 2005

It was just yet another pointless violence movie, this wasn't anything that hadn't already been done hundreds of times before so it just wasn't interesting at all. A monkey killed some people robbed a bank, killed some cops, then blew their car up, that was it, nothing really happened you should have made it longer and more eventful so that they'd have been something interesting to watch, it also would have been better if they'd been some sort of story to it so that there was a point to it instead of it being just pointless violence.

KAZAHANA: Face To Face

"That was brilliant, even better than I expected."

date: October 19, 2005

That was just brilliant, a whole lot better than I was expecting it to be, I was expecting it to be great, but not this great, I'd ahve to say this is movie perfection, this goes straight into my top 10, well done on breaking that.

It was just really nicely done, it was just like one of them anime programmes and it had an excellent story to go with it, it was just done perfectly. *CAUTION SPOILER WARNING* I loved how you made it just look so one-sided by having a psychotic girl who'd already killed many going up against an old, lazy, fat slob and it was great how you made the whole thing look like it was going to be the woman who won. You even went as far as making it look like he was going to win at one point, then having him fail so it looked like he'd lose for sure after, but then you went and made him win, which I didn't see coming at all and it just made the plot even better than it already was. You explained the whole story in this, which was great to see, and I have to say it was a brilliant one, sure it wasn't exactly very original but it was still an excellent storyline and it just made the whole thing very gripping. The rest of the movie also answered my previous questions I had from the last one, which I didn't expect to see answered here, but I'm pleased that they were. It was also nice to see that the camera device from the previous epiosode had another function to it other than taking pictures. I was kind of surprised to see that that girl was one of the Kazahana's as the last episode gave me the impression that she wasn't a member of the family and that she was just someone who wanted them dead for some unknown reason. It was nice to see that the sound was better this time round, although the problem still seemed to be there with the voice that was setting up the story, the rest of it was fine though. I like the idea you had of allowing people to suggest ideas for future episodes and allowing them to contribute towards them in other ways as well.

After watching this its clear to me that you have the ability to create anime programmes that would be good enough to appear on T.V., you came up with an excellent story and you really did do it perfectly, you showed the right stuff at the right time and you showed it from the perfect range and position. Seriously, perhaps you should look into making an anime programme for T.V. and making a career out of it.

Kazahana Intro

"I liked it, it was a nice twist at the end."

submission: Kazahana Intro
date: October 19, 2005

I liked it, the movie was pretty good, but the story was great and I just loved the little twist at the end. The whole thing was very intriguing and it's left me really looking forward to seeing the next one as you didn't reveal the full details of the story and you left a load of 'why?' questions and I'm really interested to find out the answers are and what the whole story's about. I liked the whole thing with the little camera device things, although I didn't really understand how it came up with the persons identity, but then I guess that's not really important. What I am wanting to know though is, what was on that ring?, was it just the spike?, why did it take so long for the guy to finally react to it? and why did it make him die?, as they're questions I have that probably won't be answered in the sequel to this. The only problem with this movie was the voices as they didn't seem right, they sounded too much like they were added to the scene instead of like they were coming from within the scene, if you know what I mean. In terms of a movie this earned a 3/5 but in terms of story it earnt a 4/5 and considering it's the story that matters more to me I'm giving you a 4/5. Anyway, well done, great job, keep up the great work.
