A pointless preview

You shouldn't have submitted this as it isn't the finished version and I feel that demos/trailers/previews don't deserve to be submitted to Newgrounds as they are not the finished version, you should wait until you finish something before deciding to submit it.

Demo/Trailer/Preview rant over.

Even for a preview that was pointless as it didn't tell you anything abouth the movie, it just showed a car being chased by a cop car, so all that I know about Wheelman from that is that it's either about a cop or a criminal, with it probably being the latter. This wasn't really fun to watch at all due to the complete lack of action.

Just looked through your lsit of movies, I remember loads of them, i must've reviewed about half of 'em already, I have to say you are a damn good flash author, you definitely came along way from this, not only do your movies now have a point they're good as well.

Sometimes you just want to get "Something" out, but know full well .life, bills, and other trauma just gets in the way.. so you opt for something simple, like a preview to satiate your flash fix... But even a preview should have a point, and I'm trying to remedy that. thanks for the review.

It had already been done

A movie to that song had already been made, it was called Run over Dog and that was better than this, this one was flawed in every way, there was very little animation and at one point the car just stopped on the edge of the screen for ages, anyone could have done this.

Please don't steal others ideas, come up with your own ones.

I've looked up that one other one you said that I "stole" and if you look at the dates, his was released about 6 days before mine, but that doesn't mean in any way, shape, or form that I've "stole" his idea (in fact, I've never saw that one until just now). Before making assumption, you should do your research a bit more.

Nice movie it made me all tingly

Theres two different areas of this I'm going to comment on, the movie itself and the special features section, as both made me have somehting to write about, I'm gonna write my comments for the special features section in a seperate area as it wasn't the movie and didn't effect my vote, or scoring in any way.

MOVIE
That was a very nice movie, very touching(not sure if thats what you aimed for), this movie made me feel a way no other flash movie has ever made me feel before, I correct that, this movie made me feel a way 'NOTHING' has ever made me feel before, I got all tingly because of it, and I still feel a bit like it 5 minutes after watching it, so seriously well done for that. I especially liked the part when the song went "but your not a girl, and I'm not a boy" and you made the two people vanish, it was a very nice idea and just looked really nice as well. The only real problem with this movie is the length, it could have been a bit longer, what was here was very nice and I'd have liked to see more, maybe you should remake this using the whole song instead of the sampler, I'm sure you'd do a very good job of it, and I for one would love to see it..

SPECIAL FEATURES SECTION
It was a bit hard to read the text in this feature as the background played with your eyes(if you know what i mean) and I kept having to look away from the screen for a while and then look back again to be able to read it all.

Thanks for mentioning me(chrisjericho(it was my old Newgrounds alias)) in your special features section, it made me smile.

It's for making flash like this that you are my favourite flash author.

I was really happy to hear it had managed to make you feel such a way.

Personally, I found the song both touching and kinda amusing in a wistful way. I tried to capture that by simply recreating the lyrics literally.

But however you react to anything I've made, as long as it has a positive impact, I'm happy. Whether someone was laughing because the graphics were so bad or touched emotionally and provoked to reflect a little on life, I'd be happy I'd had some positive influence.

In future, I'll try and make the text easier to read.

You really do deserve the thanks. It's partially thanks to feedback like you're willing to give that I'm able to get an outside perspective on my stuff and continue improving.

Also, knowing that people will have a look at my stuff helps motivate me to make it.

Completly fucking stupid but funny not too bad

The start sucked big time but the rest of the movie was pretty funny, completely fucking stupid but still funny and it wasn't too bad at all, but then with the idea you had it would have been hard to have made this crap. I read in your one of your responses to your reviews you started making a sequel, go on do it finish it off, it couls be brilliant and I hope to see it.

holy shit, i haven't checked up on this submission in like 9 years! i appreciate the feedback.

as for the sequel: i got to pretty much fully animate it up until the end. but due to a virus killing my hard drive, it was never completed. i wanna see if i can retrieve it, maybe finish it off and add a soundtrack. the graphics would still suck, as i made it 10 years ago right after completing production on this. but the story is bigger and more violent, and you get to see the people get shot.

[Starcraft War]

Disapointingly short, a very poor movie

From the start it didn't seem like it would be too bad as I was expecting the singing to lead on and change to something more dramatic and funnier but it didn't and was the same throughout and it ended surprisingly early into it. It was basically just pasted images with mouths moving to a song, it wasn't entertaining at all.

One of the millions of pointless flash movies

Well that was pointless, the idea was a good one that could have been done a lot better, the movie was boring as nothing really happened, the part before the movie was too long as you had to click too many times for the movie to start, it should have been one click and the movie plays. This was basically just one of them pointless voilence, crap movies, all that happened was some cows got blown up and some people got shot by a sniper, was thsi really worth making, even for back then this was poor.

actually, yeah it was helpful. I made a ton of these little stickman episodes to cut my teeth on flash animations. I have since moved away from the animation side of things and gone on to focus on acionscripting side. However i am working on an animated comic. I wont post the link here, simply because I really dont want to be asociated with newgrounds anymore, nor do i really feel the need to prove myself to the people that frequent the site. newgrounds was a good idea that got pulled into the dark side by the throngs of angry and confused teenagers that populate the internet. it isnt about good flash games/animations anymore, its just a festering pit of stuff like this entry: Stuff that is probably helpful in furthering the authors flash skills, but probably shouldnt be on the internet at all.

Who thought cereal characters could be so funny

Well that was different, I don't think I've ever seen a cereal humor movie before and if I have it was nothing like this, this was amazing, fantastic, brilliant you've done a damn amazing job here, the Nesquik bunny had me in stitches and this whole movie was one damn brilliant idea. I loved the intro too, Snap, Crackle and Pop made me chortle, also in that intro was the leprechaun supposed to be the guy off of Lucky Charms? Man that was good cereal, I miss it.

Even worse than the first

This was even worse than the first, you should have had the two movies as one, this sucked more than the first as the weirdness isn't there in this one, it's just a sack of shit.

Thanks for the feedback. When I made this movie, my computer was very slow, so the animation looked fine on my computer at the time. I realize how horrible this is. But looking back at my 14 year old self I am impressed that I actually published it haha.

Way too short to be any good

This movie was way too short to be a good movie, if it was longer and had more action then it would have been much more enjoyable, but it was over very quickly, crap in my opinion, probably the best of your work that I've seen though, but still not worthy of a 1. Why the hell do people vote high for this crap?

[Badly Drawn Stickman]

It has a nice style to it which I haven't seen...

before, but is still pointless crap, maybe some story would have improved it. But then this is a preview, and previews annoy me, apart from the Super Console Wars 3D preview. And like I told you on MSN Messenger the loading bars wonky, and that could set a bad first impression to some people. Anyway does it really matter what others think? As long as you like it it's OK. I totally agree with pretty much everything you say.

I'm glad you like the style (I like it too) and it is unfortunately just pointless crap. Although maybe when it's finished it'll be a bit less so.

I suppose your final sentiment is true enough and as long as I enjoy making these movies it doesn't matter what others think. However, others enjoying my stuff does make me enjoy the whole process of creation that bit more.
